It’s been a year now and we’ve finally found the secret of our potty training success. Candy and money.
I have a 2 (almost 3) year old penny pincher. This girl will do just about anything to earn money, including going number two on the toilet. I bought her a piggy bank when she turned two. She keeps it on her table and adds to it every chance she gets.
“Mom, if I go poop on the toilet can I have 2 treats and a pickle?”
Pickle meaning nickel. Two treats AKA CANDY.
I wonder just how long I’ll have to keep paying out nickels. Will she increase her price on her third birthday?
She’s mastered the art of negotiation at home and school. Her teachers have been paying her in chocolate to clean up the class for them. I suppose it’s a win/win situation.
